The Young Researchers Competition (only for PPS members)

 

RULES OF THE YOUNG RESEARCHERS COMPETITION

 

1. The Competition takes place during the conferences or scientific congresses of the Polish Parasitological Society and is announced by the President of the PTP.

2. The Competition Evaluation Committee is composed of Chairman - ex officio President of the PPS and six members of the PPS appointed by the Main Board of PPS.

3. The Competition is open to persons who have not yet obtained a doctoral degree and are members of the PPS.

4. The work submitted to the Competition must be original research work in the field of parasitology.

5. The Competition participant should be the first author of the work, the work cannot have more than three authors.

6. The interested participants join the Competition after its announcement, in accordance with the rules adopted by the organizers of the Congress (in the Abstract Form, select the Young Researcher Competition option).

7. Detailed information on the date, place, and time of the participants' presentation will be announced in the program of the Congress.

8. The participants of the Competition present their work at an open Session of the Young Researcher, having 15 minutes at their disposal.

9. During a closed meeting, the Competition Evaluation Committee will assess the presentations in the points system: the originality of the work, the way of presentation, and the ability to discuss the results.

10. The competition finishes with prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

11. The authors of the winning works receive a diploma and a cash prize.

12. The results of the competition are announced by the Chairman of the Competition Committee during the closing ceremony of the Congress.






Best Poster Award (for all participants of poster session)


RULES OF THE BEST POSTER AWARD

 
    
1. All posters presented during the Congress are eligible for the Competition.
 
2. Each participant of the Congress in the conference materials will receive a voting card to give one vote for the best poster in their opinion.
 
2. The card should contain the number of the poster and the name and surname of the first author of the poster and will be collected in the ballot box.
 
3. As part of the Competition, the General Chair of the Organizing Committee will appoint a Vote Counting Commission composed of the Chairperson and three members.
 
4. The Vote Counting Commission at a closed meeting will count the votes and select the Competition winner - the poster with the highest number of votes.
 
5. In the event of the same number of votes, a maximum of two equal prizes will be awarded.
 
6. The authors of the awarded works receive a diploma and a cash prize.
 
7. The sponsor of the award in the Best Poster Competition is the journal Microorganisms (EISSN 2076-2607) published by MDPI.
